A typical day at Night Owls:

3.00pm Night Owls staff arrive at the club to set up and prepare activities.

3.30pm Juniors come to Night Owls by themselves. Infants are collected from their teacher. All children are signed in. Children are encouraged to put their own things in our cloakroom with our help where needed and get ready to play.

3.45pm All children should now have arrived from all the schools that we serve. We now ask the children to make the room safe with toys away while we wash our hands ready for a snack.

4.00pm We go down to our snack/tea room and have juice, water, fruit or a biscuit.

4.20pm Activities start, we have snooker table, computers with internet access, Playstation, reading area, role play area, construction toys, arts and crafts, outside play area, homework supervision, drawing table, pet hamster, elc castle and knights, polly pockets and much much more. The children are supervised we only intervene should the children need us to or ask us to.

4.50pm Again we clear up to make sure that the room is left tidy and safe with no obstructions on the floor. We wash our hands and proceed down for tea.

5.00pm Tea is always healthy. We have hot food three nights a week which could be, any type of vegetable, potatoes, finest sausages, shepherd's pie, bolognaise, pasta and much more. The children are always offered organic fruit, mango, paw paw, lychees, pineapple, apple, oranges, bananas, kiwi and any fruit of the season. Providing the children have had fruit they may have a piece of cake. On our cold tea nights the children may have crackers and cheese, celery, brown and white bread, ham, cheese, chicken, egg and tuna fillings, fruit and cake. We always say that this is not dinner just a light tea before their dinner at home. The younger children may not need anything else when they get home but it might not fulfil our older children. Of course not all of the above is served on the same night it varies. We can cater for any child, vegetarian, intolerant and the fussy eater (no-one has come up with a politically correct way to put that YET!!!!!) ( if they have my apologies). Just let a member of staff know or be sure to fill your child's registration form.

5.30pm We all go back to the club room and activities continue until home time.
